I've been on that bus again...
Did I blink and miss three weeks? Once again, that well loved bus, the one showing wear and tear (but luckily a tank full of fuel) came around our neck of the woods and we seemingly jumped on with enthusiastic abandon! Thankfully there is internet access on my bus and I have kept up with what everyone has had going-on. I have also been lucky to discover some new-to-me blogs that have had me smiling, taking inspiration from and more often than not...laughing my socks off. More of them later.

(Too busy to mow the lawn!)
With another week to go before the 2 oldest kids go back to school...I've got a feeling that life will not calm down anytime soon, but the guilt of not getting my blogging jobs done has brought me to my knees. Tonight, I have left my ironing in a pile (ankle high, no major panic), opened a cold beer and munched my way through a big bowl of cocoa pops and chopped banana, waiting for my photos to upload. Photos that I'm lucky to have because it seems my camera has decided to die. It's diagnosed itself (clever thing) and tells me in a scratchy, weak voice that it has E18. The jury's out on whether or not this is fatal. Sniff. We were having so much fun. Sob. So the photos today are random. They do something for me!, but I appreciate they may not do it for you!

Ok. First on the list of MUST DO's has to be the Pay It Forward swap thing that was doing the rounds..a long time ago. Sorry. I snatched a chance of a 'something' from kittythimble and then proceeded to disappear. The guilt and shame has kept me awake at night. So here it is... I will send a handmade gift to the first 3 people who leave a comment on my blog requesting to join this PIF exchange. I don’t know what that gift will be yet and you may not receive it tomorrow or next week… LOL… but you will receive it within 365 days, that is my promise! The only thing you have to do in return is pay it forward by making the same promise on your blog.
It's a relief just adding that to the post..anyone up for it? Can't think what i'll make and send..but I do love a good package! So I will share the goodness! I will give myself a time limit, otherwise i'll forget and...Oh! the guilt! I'm going to have mine all sent out by the end of September.
Typepad is showing all my text in italics..and I can't get it off. What was next on my list?..Ah! The Encyclopedia of Me meme. I have 2 more days to finish the alphabet and I'm on I.(Missed out H!) that means I have 18 letters to go. This should be fun! I can do it!

Of course, if we stopped taking the bus for detours to partake in one or two of these then I might find myself with more time to shake a stick at blogging!
There is also a matter of Nice awards. I was given one! HAHA! (Again, I am grovelling and shamefaced-edly saying sorry to kittythimble for seemingly ignoring her generosity in awarding me with one!

So, the fun part...nominating seven people to go and spread the joy!
www.newrustic.typepad.com, www.fridayprize.typepad.com, www.monkeyporkbun.typepad.com, www.simplylemony.blogspot.com, www.sometwittery.com, www.prairiemouse.typepad.com and for genuinely 'nice' reasons...because she SO deserves it..because she is patient, lovely and did I mention ...so damned patient...because she's been there for me in the dark hours when I'm waiting for the bannister hugger....www.smallfox.typepad.com (The package will get to you Sarah. I'm just trying to ensure that you don't get mailed toes or other bodyparts!)
It has been said that it's difficult choosing only 7 blogs that deserve one of these..and I agree, especially as i'm so late in the day awarding any! If being on my list means you're nice more than once..Well Done You!.

My time is running out on here...DH is snoring through Silent Witness and If I don't grasp what happens at the end to tell him..he'll have to watch it again tomorrow! (Minutes to go...the volume change when the adverts come on always wakes him up!)

I'll leave you with some thrifted bounty. Beautiful bounty. My heart skips a beat when I see these lying in a box. Unloved and unwanted. Not anymore!

Got to go.....xxx
Awww! Thank you! And I'm glad you are having such a grand time on holiday. That picture of what I'm assuming is DS#2's mouth is ADORABLE! And those vintage books are a find, indeed!

I love Enid Blyton and can never find her vintage stuff here in the States. Lucky you! Better leave me off the PIF exchange for now - I'd hate to commit and then not follow through. I have my hands full with being part of the Friday Prize swap. You've got the dubious honor of being my swap recipient. Any special requests from this side of the pond?

Thanks for the nomination! I often feel so little and alone in the blogging community that it is nice when others, especially those so far away, take notice. However, I rarely know how these things work, the awards and meme's and etc. but I am learning, if I can only keep up. Thank You!

ooohh, thank you for nominating me - I agree with Andria, it is nice when those far away take notice, makes the world feel smaller and I do enjoy being part of this community!

I'd love to join in the PIF - hope I'm not too late!

Thank you for the nomination! Sadly I've been drowning in work and just now stopped by - what a surprise to find this post! What a delight. And kittythimble was certainly correct in nominating you! ;)
